Gloria Jean (Dudley) McCray, 67, wife of Roger Lee McCray of 27 Brookewood Avenue passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 at Shenandoah Hospice House, Fishersville.

Mrs. McCray was born on January 26, 1947 in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late William Arthur and Viola (Clark) Dudley.

Gloria retired from Basic Witz Furniture Company as a line operator and previously worked for White-Way Laundry and Staunton Steam Laundry. She enjoyed crocheting, watching TV and spending time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 44 years is a daughter, Carolyn M. Jenkins of Staunton; a brother, Gary W. Dudley of Staunton; two sisters, Shirley Kathy Arehart of Greenville and Delores Taylor of North Carolina; a granddaughter, Tiffany D. Fleshman and a number of nieces, nephews and many cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor John Ward.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Freddie McCray, Raymond McCray, Meade Shuey, Ricky Whetzel, Ben Puckett, Patrick Dudley, Benjamin Baugh and Charlie Lyle.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
