Glenn Raymond Sweet, 87, widower of Nellie (Gillenwater) Sweet, of Charlottesville, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 in Laurels of Charlottesville in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Mr. Sweet was born on December 8, 1934 in Virginia, and was raised by extended family.

Mr. Sweet was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Trailways as a bus driver.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Sweet was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Albritton; and a brother, Robert Linwood "Bob" Sweet.

Survivors include two grandchildren, Jessica Taylor and Jeremy Albritton and wife Emilee Lehenbauer; four great-grandchildren, Luke Albritton, Brady Albritton, Russell Taylor and Bradlee Albritton and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022 in the Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Rev. William "Bill" Trice.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
