Glenn Sheldon Currier, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Glenn Sheldon Currier, Jr., of Staunton, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018, peacefully at home.
After retirement from Metro in Washington D.C., he was able to explore his lifelong love of radio, working at WINA in Charlottesville for over a decade. He was blessed with a beautiful singing voice, and sang with gospel groups when he was young. He enjoyed tinkering with his home radio station, watching vintage television shows, and reading about physics and the universe. He enjoyed photography and video, capturing nature, particularly birds, flowers, and trees (hemlocks were a personal favorite).
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty, who lovingly cared for him until the very end; daughter, Heather Eckardt, and her husband, Jason; brother-in-law, Craig Anderson, and his wife, Sarah Buckley; sister, Sherrill Currier; and several cousins.
Funeral services are private.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
