Gino A. Bortone, 78, husband of Martina L. (Bortone) Pass, of Staunton, passed away at his residence on Monday, April 22, 2024.

Mr. Bortone was born in Italy on February 15, 1946, the son of the late Anthony Bortone and Pierina Bortone.

Gino was employed with Mebar Realty Holding Trust, Local 99 Engineering Department for 25 years.

Gino had a heart of gold and was always willing to help those in need. He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed family gatherings. Gino loved Staunton and the surrounding mountains.

In addition to his wife, Martina, of seven years, Mr. Bortone is survived by his three children, Robert Bortone (Kristen), Joseph Bortone, and Alicia DeLande (Spencer); five grandchildren, Nathan, Emily, Ryan, Maddie and Bronco; and a host of friends and relatives in the DMV area.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend William "Bill" Trice.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
