Gertrude Virginia 'Trudy' Vaiksnoras' Obituary
Gertrude Virginia Trudy (Gladwell) Vaiksnoras, 78, formerly of Craigsville, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville.
Mrs. Vaiksnoras was born on February 18, 1939 in Augusta County, Virginia, a daughter of the late William H. and Hettie L. (Woods) Gladwell.
Trudy was the retired owner of a gift shop and prior to retirement, she was a realtor, the manager of numerous gift and antique shops, and a pizzeria in the surrounding areas.
Surviving is a son, Ray Tony Vaiksnoras of Fishersville; three sisters, Shelby Jean Fitzgerald of Craigsville, Sally Young and her husband Preston of Seaford, Virginia, and Deborah G. Sprouse of Fishersville; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
All services will be private.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Augusta Health Foundation Hospice of the Shenandoah, Post Office Box 1000, Fishersville, Virginia 22939.
