Geraldine Faye Gerry (Bailes) Amick, 87, widow of Kenneth Jennings Tooter Amick of 304 Whitehall Avenue, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Amick was born on May 30, 1929 in Quinwood, WV, a daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Eva Virginia (ODell) Bailes.
Gerry was a member of Jerusalem Chapel United Brethren Church and was retired as a LPN for Dr. Degen at Staunton Medical Associates. She was a member of the Arthur Pilgrims Sunday School Class, she enjoyed mowing lawns for her friends and family, craft painting, sewing and cooking. Gerry was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her husband who passed away on December 6, 2016, and her parents, Mrs. Amick was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bob Bailes and a sister, Leila Pete (Bailes) Dooley.
Surviving is a son, Kenny V. Amick of Staunton; two daughters, Diana L. Amick of Staunton and Donna L. (Amick) Lawson and her husband Randall of Verona; two brothers, her twin, Gerald Jack Bailes and wife Anna of Cottageville, WV and William Bill Bailes of Hurricane WV; two sisters, Arlene (Bailes) Wiseman and husband Lee of Evans WV and Linda (Bailes) Willis and husband Burl of Summersville, WV; two grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Cole and husband David and Randi Lee Griffin and husband Nappy; five great-grandchildren, Wyatt Griffin, Sadie Cole, Waylon Griffin, Silas Cole and Walter Griffin; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
An Open House Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the residence.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
A Memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 in Jerusaleum Chapel by Pastor Denny Sites and Pastor Dave Dakin, for Kenneth Jennings Tooter Amick, who passed away on December 6, 2016 and Geraldine Faye Gerry (Bailes) Amick who passed away on December 16, 2016.
