Geraldine Louise Jerry (Tyson) Engle, 84, widow of James Wallace Engle, Jr. formerly of 121 Waverley Green, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 in Shenandoah Hospice House.

Mrs. Engle was born February 5, 1927 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Robert William and Thelma Marcella (Musselman) Tyson.

Geraldine spent most of her life as a homemaker and was a member of the Menallen Meeting in Gardners, Penn. She was a past volunteer at Skyline District Girl Scouts, American Frontier Culture Museum and the Staunton - Augusta County Welcoming Center. She was a Volunteer at the Staunton Library and was also a member of the Augusta and Henrico Home Extensions Clubs.

Mrs. Engle was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are three daughters Bobbie (Engle) Lawson and her husband Jeff of Churchville, Susan (Engle) Siegel and her husband Bill of Woodbridge, VA and Sandy (Engle) Rosenbach and her husband Jeff of Verona; six grandchildren, Troy Lawson and his wife Laura, Maggie Lawson, Nathan Siegel and his wife Tracy, Ben Siegel, Morgan Croft and his wife Lindsey and Robyn Croft; four great grandchildren Carter Lawson, Mason Lawson, Hattie Croft and Cason Croft and one step great grandchild Marcus Zack also survive.

A graveside service will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in Hebron Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Randy Simmons.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
