Gerald 'Bucky' Cummings's Obituary

Gerald Ausburn Bucky Cummings, 90, life long companion of Lena Koogler of 158 Koogler Lane passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Cummings was born July 26, 1923 in Tupper Lake, New York, a son of the late Martin and Evonne (Proulx) Cummings.
Bucky was a veteran of the United States Navy serving his country proudly during World War II. He was retired from Callahan Construction where he worked as a mechanical welder and belonged to the Operating Engineers Local Union #106 in Albany, New York. Mr. Cummings enjoyed visiting various casinos with his friend Frank Hall and the late Shirley Hall.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cummings was preceded in death by a brother and five sisters.
Surviving is a son, Robert Cummings and wife Bev; three daughters, Carol Peacock and husband Brent; Linda Gardner and husband Bill and Denise Doyle and husband Edward; and nine grandchildren. In addition to his biological children, Bucky was a father figure to James, Kenneth and Chris Koogler who loved him dearly as much as he loved them. Mr. Cummings will be sadly missed by all.
A Graveside service will be conducted Sunday, December 22, 2013 in the St. Columbans Cemetery in Arlington, Vermont.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his local arrangements.
