Gerald Blyth's Obituary

Gerald Blyth, 58, husband of Ramona L. Blyth of Swoope, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Blyth was born November 19, 1953 in Malta, a son of the late Henry and Florence (Houston) Blyth.

Mr. Blyth was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church. He served in the Kings Troop RHA, 12th Battery, 20th Regiment Royal Artillery including two tours in Northern Ireland. He was employed in the Hunt Service in England for twenty years until coming to the United States in 1995. He was a Huntsman for two seasons with the Glenmore Hunt Club from 1995 ~ 1997. For the past ten years he was employed with Cargill Distribution in Mt. Crawford. Mr. Blyth was quite the outdoorsman, hunting with his own pack of beagles and fox hounds.

In addition to his wife, he survived by two brothers, Peter Blyth of Cornwall, England and Paul Blyth of Wallsend, England; two nephews of England also survive.

Services for Mr. Blyth will be conducted at a later date.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Hospice of the Shenandoah.

It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to a charity of ones choice.
