George Griffith Taylor, 78, husband of Sandra S. Taylor of 107 Community Way, Apartment 114, Staunton, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018.
He was born September 28, 1939 in Greensboro, North Carolina, a son of the late Nancy G. Taylor and John A. Taylor, Sr.
Mr. Taylor graduated from the University of Tennessee, and prior to his retirement, was a Certified Public Accountant in Nashville, Tennessee.
Surviving in addition to his wife of thirty-one years, family members include a daughter, Susan Bradford of Hermitage, TN; two grandchildren, Jason Pilote of Nashville, TN and Laura Dorris of Old Hickory, TN; great-grandchild, Summer Dorris of Old Hickory, TN; Sally Taylor, his former wife and the mother of his children of Old Hickory, TN. He also leaves behind nieces, Nancy Sorrells of Greenville, VA and Martha Walker of Harvest, AL; and a nephew, Andrew Taylor of Nebo, NC; and other extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by a son, George, Jr.
Per his wishes, there will be no formal services.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in George's memory, to the Shenandoah House, Augusta Hospice of the Shenandoah, Post Office Box 215, Fishersville, Virginia 22939.
The family requests no online condolences.
