Mr. Roadcap was born on September 19, 1927 in Augusta County, a son of the late George Emmett and Nannie Ruth (Eavey) Roadcap.
Paul was a member of Verona United Methodist Church and retired in 1988 after thirty five years of service at McQuay as a welder. He enjoyed gardening and working in his flower beds.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Roadcap is preceded in death by three brothers, Hansford Roadcap, Vernon Roadcap and Ray Roadcap and three sisters, Gladys Lindamood, Ruby Cupp and Goldie Toad Alexander.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 66 years are two sons, Steven P. Roadcap and his wife Denise of Fishersville and David L. Roadcap and his wife Cindy of Verona; a daughter, Barbara (Roadcap) Dedrick and her husband Phil of Churchville; two sisters, Jean (Roadcap) Cox and Edith (Roadcap) Koogler both of Staunton; four grandchildren, David W. Roadcap, Dustin Dedrick and his wife Carrie and Corbin Dedrick and his wife Vilma and Jamie Curley; and a great-grandson also survives.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of David and Cindy Roadcap, 72 Old Laurel Hill Road, Verona.
