Gary W. Peregoy, 56, husband of Sheryl Kay (Breeden) Peregoy of 30 Tomahawk Court passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Peregoy was born January 12, 1957 in Savannah, Georgia, a son of Howard Grey and Florence M. (Johnson) Peregoy.
Gary was a member of Harvest City Worship Center where he enjoyed Bible studies and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was employed with DuPont Company for fifteen years as a spinner operator. His favorite hobbies were fishing, camping, bowling and NASCAR.
Mr. Peregoy was preceded in death by a daughter, Faith M. Diehl.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Orange, VA and his wife of twenty years is a daughter, Tonia M. Lunn and husband Daniel of Grottoes; three brothers, Howard M. Peregoy and wife Ruth Ann of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Anthony B. Peregoy of Lannett, Alabama and Matthew C. Peregoy of Orange; a sister, Jessica N. Vachon and husband Stephen of Gilbert, Arizona; three grandchildren, Benjamin E. Lunn, Dalton J. Lunn and Johnathan Daniel Lunn; eight nephews and many friends and his Husky dog, Dakota Cheyenne.
A Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 14, 2013 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor William H. Creedle, III.
Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
Active pallbearers will be his three brothers, Howard Peregoy, Anthony Peregoy and Matthew Peregoy and Billy Mayne, John Muster, Clayton Breeden and Daniel Lunn.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Harvest City Worship Center, 1236 12th Street, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
