Gary Dean Carter, 58, husband of Connie Rae Carter of Crimora passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Mr. Carter was born October 27, 1962 in Waynesboro, a son of the late Bobby Dean and Betty Joyce (Daughtry) Carter.

Gary was employed by Estes Express Lines as a truck driver and also worked in the office and the loading dock. He was skilled in masonry and brick laying and enjoyed his simple life and hunting, fishing, and vintage cars. Gary loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Zach Carter and his wife, Sarah and Derek Carter; three grandchildren, Alana Carter, Lydia Carter, and Annabelle Carter; a sister, Robin (Carter) Siron and her husband, Randy.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, has been entrusted with his arrangements.
