Garnet Mae "Granny" (Miller) Wood, 92, of Staunton, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at River Edge Rehabilitation and Nursing in Waynesboro.

Mrs. Wood was born in Staunton, Virginia on February 10, 1931 a daughter of the late James Henry Clement Miller and Frances Mabel Randolph.

Garnet was an alumni of Life Bible College and served as a licensed minister of the Foursquare Church. She retired from Con Agra Frozen Foods where she was employed for 31 years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by a son, James Alexander Wood; two brothers, Marshall Davis Miller and James Olin Miller; and a sister, Colleen "Mickey" Benson.

Surviving, are two sisters, Jacqueline S. Miller of Glendale, CA and Florence S. Field of Utah; four grandchildren, whom she loved very much; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Augusta Memorial Park.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
