Gale Annette (Hipes) Shipe's Obituary
Gale Annette (Hipes) Shipe, 82, wife of William Henry Shipe, of 302 New Hope and Crimora Road in Waynesboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Shenandoah Nursing and Rehab in Fishersville.
Mrs. Shipe was born in Danville, Virginia on June 29, 1939, a daughter of the late Gilchrist Hipes and Anne (Burgess) Hipes.
Gale was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church where she played the organ for 30 plus years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shipe was preceded in death by her sister, Patsy Camden and an infant brother.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 65 years, is her son, Jeffrey S. Shipe; two grandchildren, Brittany Lynne Shipe and Katelyn Wine Marinelli; and five great grandchildren, Avery, Brady, Florence, James and Evelyn.
At the request of Mrs. Shipe, there will be no public services.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
