Gail Early Sykes, 86, widow of Archie Milton Sykes, of Staunton, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at The Legacy at North Augusta.

Mrs. Sykes was born in Weyers Cave, Virginia on May 13, 1938, daughter of the late Ward and Rebecca (Saufley) Early.

Gail retired from Aetna Insurance Company, where she was employed for 36 years.

Surviving, is a brother, Daniel Early of Stuarts Draft and a number of nieces and nephews.

Private burial will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
