Gabe Hampton Frank, 86, widower of Shirley Ann (Wine) Frank, of 200 Little Calf Pasture Hwy, Swoope, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Mr. Frank was born in Augusta County, Virginia on June 29, 1936, the son of the late Waide Hampton Frank and Madeline (Stockdale) Frank.

Gabe was a member of Buffalo Gap Presbyterian Church and retired from UPS as a truck driver after twenty-seven years of service. Prior to working at UPS, Gabe worked for his family's mill, "Frank's Mill". He enjoyed helping others and loved to drive.

Mr. Frank was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Frank was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Waide (Frank) Byrd.

Surviving, are two sons, Mark Wine Frank (Mary) of Bassett, VA and Todd Hampton Frank (Donna) of Raphine, VA; a grandson, Jacob "Jake" W. Frank (Ashley); a great-grandson, Mark W. Frank; a nephew, Rob Byrd (Lisa) of Swoope, VA  and special friend and companion, Patsy Root.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the residence.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022 in Pleasant View Lutheran Church Cemetery by Pastor Gwen Carr.

It is suggested, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Buffalo Gap Presbyterian Church, 12 Old Parkersburg Turnpike, Swoope, VA 24479.
