Frederick Lee Heisler, 59, husband of Daryll Ann (Collins) Heisler of 26 Stoney Creek Circle, stepped into heaven Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Hospice of the Piedmont Center for Acute Hospice Care in Charlottesville.
Mr. Heisler was born on June 6, 1958, in Chester, Pennsylvania, son of the late Lee F. and Helen (Hutchins) Heisler.
Fred was an active member of Crossroads Baptist Church where he was involved in sharing the love of Christ through the Prison Ministry of the church. He was a devout Christian and a man of strong faith. Fred enjoyed hunting, tinkering with cars and those that knew him best, knew of his love and passion for his 2018 Super Bowl Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 35 years is his daughter, Allyson Heisler of Maryland; his son Stephen Heisler and his companion Lisa Zdenek of Pennsylvania; sister, Katherine M. Mortimer and her husband Larry of New York; and two very special grand puppies "Buddy" and "Lexi."
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 in the Crossroads Baptist Church, located at 31 Cross Roads Lane, Fishersville, VA.
A Celebration of his Life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the Crossroads Baptist Church by Pastor Heath Spivey.
Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
