Franklin Lee Bud Fultz, 93, husband of Dorothy (Strickler) Leach Fultz of 156 Braley Pond Road passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015 in Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center in Staunton.
Mr. Fultz was born on September 7, 1921 in Augusta County, a son of the late Carl Franklin nd Alice (Cook) Fultz.
Bud attended West Augusta United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II and was a self-employed building contractor. Mr. Fultz was a baseball player and had pitched for the Staunton Braves for a number of years, he enjoyed traveling, woodworking and helping others.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fultz was preceded in death by two brothers,
George Fultz and Robert Fultz; and two sisters, Virginia Folds and Evelyn Thomas.
Surviving in addition to his wife of thirty-eight years, is a daughter, Linda Lucus and her husband Thomas of Ft. Defiance; two step-sons, Cecil C. Leach and his wife Judy of Churchville and David H. Leach and his fiance Tammy Simmons of Deerfield; four sisters, Antha Rhodecap of Staunton, Phyllis Sensabaugh of Waynesboro, Nancy Dunsmore and her husband Howard of Stuarts Draft and Betty Myers and her husband Don of Weyers Cave; two grandchildren, Stefanie Lucus and her husband Paul Boyes and Jonathan Lucus and his wife Qiaojue Yu; four great-grandchildren, Penelope and Olivia Boyes and Kian and Kamden Lucus; two step- grandchildren, Samatha Puffenbarger and Thristan Leach; a number of
nieces and nephews; and caregiver, Debbie Rohr.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Mr. Gary Armstrong and Pastor Rob Nash.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Burial will be private in the West Augusta Community Cemetery.
