Frank Wayne Killian Sr., 67, husband of Linda Ann (McPherson) Killian of 1709 Englewood Drive went to walk with the Lord on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Killian was born on March 17, 1948 in Staunton, a son of the late Jennings and Dorothy C. (Stephenson) Killian.
Wayne was a member of Verona Methodist Church and was employed by Estes Trucking as a truck driver. He especially loved spending time with his family and enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting, fishing and working on old
cars.
In addition to his wife, Linda the love of his life of 36 years, are two sons, Gerald Wayne Killian and his wife Cindy of Roanoke and Frank Wayne Killian, Jr. of WV; a daughter, Sherry Rowsey; two step-sons, Jeffrey H. Russell and his wife Lisa of NC and Brian S, Russell and his wife Kelly of Staunton; a brother, Walter J. Killian and his special friend, Susan Smiley of Mount Sidney; four grandchildren, Sara, Christopher, Jennifer and Mary Beth; four step-grandchildren, Emaline, Evan, Christopher B. and his wife Emily and Luke; and a number of extended family members also survive.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2015 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Lloyd Via.
Entombment will follow in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Buck Bosserman, Fred Botkin, Jerry Roadcap, Roger Fishel, Buddy Bosserman and Mark VanName.
Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Buchanan and Tommy Hanger.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Hope Center and the Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah for the special care they gave to Wayne during his illness.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
