Frances R. Quick
STAUNTON:
Frances May (Root) Quick, 84, widow of Earl F. Quick formerly of 21 Woodlee Road passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at the residence of her adopted daughter with whom she was making her home.
Mrs. Quick was born in Staunton on December 23, 1927, a daughter of the late Kyle Houston and Gladys Linwood (Daggy)
Root.
Mrs. Quick was a member of the Pleasant View Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a 1948 graduate of Mary Baldwin College where she received a Bachelors Degree. Frances was a homemaker, enjoyed her animals, loved working with flowers and ceramics.
Surviving is an adopted daughter, My little girl yesterday, my friend today, my daughter forever Judieanne Conner and her husband Steve of Staunton; friends, Dr. Michael Hoffman and his wife Brenda of Churchville; a special friend and caregiver, Susie Durrette; her pet dog, Amos, pet cat, Monster and many special friends also survive.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Harold W. Pete Campbell.
A private burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
