Frances Ann (Miller) Fretwell, 86, widow of Steve D. Fretwell, Sr., of Staunton, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mrs. Fretwell was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia on August 11, 1936, a daughter of the late George Finley Miller and Mildred (McClung) Miller.

Frances retired as a CNA from Western State Hospital and will be remembered by her family as a loving and caring lady.

Surviving, is a son, Steve D. Fretwell, Jr. and his wife, Kimberly of Virginia Beach; a sister, Phyllis Miller of Staunton; two grandchildren, Colbi T. Fretwell and Amanda L. Widner and her husband, Josh; and two great-grandchildren, Jalen Rowzie and Easton Widner.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee  38105-1942.
