Frances (Young) Corbin, 77, wife of Richard L. Jackie Corbin, Sr. of 1781 Shutterlee Mill Road passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Corbin was born on August 5, 1938 in Staunton, a daughter of the late John Russell and Dorothy (Miller) Young.
Frances was an active member of the Staunton Church of the Nazarene and was retired from Woolworths Department Store where she was employed as a purchasing agent. Mrs. Corbin enjoyed making flower arrangements, attending the Staunton Braves Baseball games and playing senior bingo.
Surviving in addition to her husband of sixty years, are three sons, Richard L. Corbin, Jr. and his wife Ok Cha of Las Vegas, Nevada, Michael A. Corbin and his wife Trina of Staunton and William Billy Corbin and his wife April of Waynesboro; a brother, John R. Young of Goshen; three sisters, Charlotte Kyle of Waynesboro, Mary Jane Woods of Craigsville and Betty Harris and her husband Floyd of Radford; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephew also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016
in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor W. David Bailey.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Corbin, II, Ricky Dimitt, Gary Helmick, Will Helmick, Roy Varner and Randy Mawyer.
