Forrest Dale Cook, 81, of Staunton passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia.

Mr. Cook was born in Vinata, Oklahoma on April 5, 1943, a son of the late Forrest and Erna Cook.

He worked in advertising for the News Leader for 35 years. Mr. Cook enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with family and friends. He took pride in his farm and enjoyed going to NASCAR races and the beach.

He is survived by his son, Michael Dale Cook (Acey); two grandchildren, Whitney and Ryan; two sisters, Joyce and Linda Cook; and special friends, Linda and Skip Collins.

In honoring Mr. Cook's wishes, there will be no services.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
