Floyd Thomas Ailer's Obituary

Floyd Thomas Ailer, 78, husband of Doris H. Ailer of Staunton, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Ailer was born in Augusta County, Virginia on January 21, 1943, a son of the late John E. and Hazel (Altizer) Ailer.
Tom in his earlier years was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He enjoyed working in the garden, being on his tractor, and watching NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and loving on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph "Joe" Ailer and a grandson, Cole Thomas Wagner.

Surviving in addition to his wife of sixty years is a daughter, Teresa Wagner and her husband, Allen; three grandchildren, Ashleigh Wagner, Shelly Wagner, and Kaitlin Adkins and her husband, T.J. and three great-grandchildren, Anthony Ritchie, Jaxson Puffenbarger, and McKenna Adkins; two brothers, Nelson and Richard Ailer; numerous nieces and nephews and his right hand man, his Boston terrier, "Buster".

Services will be private.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
