Ferby Nell (Cline) Hunley, 91, formerly of 110 Bowie Street passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Emeritus of Staunton.
Mrs. Hunley was born September 14, 1920 in Harrisonburg, a daughter of the late Adam Frederick and Frances C. (Zigler) Cline.
Mrs. Hunley was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Weiford Sunday school class and the Womens Circle of the Church. She was a homemaker, loved knitting, reading, traveling and working in her flower garden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis P. Hunley and a sister, Elizabeth C. Kline.
Surviving are two sons, Gary S. Hunley and Timothy A. Hunley and his friend Connie A. Palmer all of Staunton; two daughters, Brenda H. Combs and her husband Edward of Radford and Gail H. Edwards and her husband Robert of Piney Flats, TN; a brother, William Z. Cline and his wife Betsy of Evanston, IL; a sister, Doris C. Egge of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Kimberly McKee, Nathan Combs, Bryan Edwards, Adam Edwards and Eric Edwards; two great-grandchildren, Skyler Edwards and Landon McKee; father of her children, Winston R. Hunley; special niece, Merry Egge and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2012 in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church by Rev. Robert A. Edwards.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Memorial Trust Fund at Christ United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 363, Staunton, VA 24402.
