Faye S. Rife
STAUNTON:
Faye Paige (Smith) Koogler Rife, 72, widow of Bobby Lee BobRife of 421 G Street passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Rife was born June 17, 1939 in Fordwick, VA, a daughter of the late Roy Miller Smith, Sr. and Virginia Bell (Via) Smith.
Faye was a member of the Lighthouse Church in Swoope and retired in 2007 from McKee Foods where she worked for ten years in production. She and her late husband Bob Rife led a Bible study at Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center. Faye enjoyed shopping, singing and was known as a Giver.
In addition to her parents Faye was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Wendell Koogler, a son, Kent Duane Koogler, a brother, Roy M. Smith, Jr. and two sisters, Helen S. Hodge and Judy S. Grimm.
Surviving is a daughter, Dana (Koogler) Bost of Winston-Salem, NC; step-daughter, April D. Rife of Charlottesville; three sisters, Katherine (Smith) Lyle and her husband Willis of Gladstone, Jean (Smith) Nessar of Staunton and Major (Smith) Wade and husband Harold L. of Swoope; a grandson, Casey Bost; two step-grandchildren, Morgan Brooking and Devon Hollins; a number of special nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Lighthouse Church by Pastor Harold L. Wade.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
Active pallbearers will be Casey Bost, Randy Bost, Troy Wade, Eric Wade, Kevin Nessar, Kody Campbell, Perry Grimm and Tyler Walters.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
