Everette William Hanger, Jr., 74, husband of Lucy Brown Hanger of Staunton, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Hanger was born on June 28, 1943 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Everette William, Sr. and Mary Helen (Sensabaugh) Hanger.
Bill was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church, a veteran of the United States Army, and he retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections Camp 10.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are three children, Elizabeth Lynne Marcus (Chris), Billy Hanger (Kristin), and children, William and Ramsey, and Amy Doyle (Bones) and children, Jake, Langdon, and Lakin; and his twin brothers, Ronnie Hanger (Wilma) and Donnie Hanger (Patty); and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 in
the Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Rev. Dr. H. Wray Sherman, III.
