Evelyn Novella (Ward) Rankin, 83, of Waynesboro passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 in Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center in Fishersville.
Mrs. Rankin was born on November 15, 1933 in Edinburg, Virginia, a daughter of the late Elmer and Sogourney (Anthony) Ward.
Evelyn was a faithful saint of God and is a member of the Aero Drive Church of God in Waynesboro.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rankin was preceded in death by husband, William Rankin, Jr; a son, Kenny Rankin; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include a son, Franklin Rankin and wife Darlene; four daughters, Donna Cason and husband Arthur L., Patricia Martin and husband Jerry, Ann Snead and husband Joe and Debbie Rankin.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Aero Drive Church of God by Pastor Daniel Hines and assisted by Dale Raynes.
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
