Evelyn Lucille (Brooks) Phillips Sensibaugh, 93, formerly of Cold Springs Road in Raphine, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021 in the Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center in Fishersville.
Mrs. Sensibaugh was born on May 28, 1927 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Ulysses Hewitt and Ora Crawford (Houser) Brooks.
Evelyn was a member of Mt. Joy Presbyterian Church, she was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, making crafts and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sensibaugh was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Lawrence W. Phillips, her second husband, Elmer G. Sensibaugh; son-in-law, Kennan Allen; five brothers, Hewitt Brooks, Forest Brooks, Bruce Brooks, Gray Brooks and Buryle Brooks; a sister, Millie Potter; and great grandchildren, twins, Bailey and McKinley Phillips.
Survivors include three sons, Lawrence "Euley" Phillips and his wife Gloria, Lenny Phillips and his wife Linda B., andTroy Phillips all of Vesuvius; three daughters, Shirley P. Cash and her husband Don, and Gloria J. Allen both of Raphine, and Marlene C. Phillips of Stuarts Draft; a sister, Bential Groah of Steeles Tavern; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Those desiring may pay their respects from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021 in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery by her son-in-law, Pastor Don Cash and Pastor Dennis Bradley.
