Euley Junior Woods, Jr., 81, widower of Charlotte Ellen (Balser) Woods of 26 Railroad Ave., Craigsville, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Woods was born on August 31, 1931 in Augusta County, a son of the late Euley J. and Lacy (Sprouse) Woods.
Euley was a roofer, employed by Kenny Bright Construction. He was an outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing, hunting and baseball. He was a member of the Craigsville Pentecostal Church.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Woods was preceded in death by four brothers James Woods, Clayborn Woods, John Woods, and Arnold Woods and four sisters Hettie Gladwell, Elsie Fitzgerald, Merle Welcher and Mary Woods; a grandson-in-law Oscar Lee Woods and his mother-in-law Clara Woods.
Survivors include two daughters Julie Woods and companion Mark Jason Ingram and Diane Woods both of Craigsville; three sons Mikle Woods and Woodrow Woods both of Craigsville and Donnie Woods and companion Wilma Campbell of Staunton; 11 grandchildren Daniel Ingram, Jacob Ingram, Matthew Ingram, Sally Glass and husband Charles, Peggy Woods, Richard Knight, Angela Corbin and husband Edward, Melinda Minter and husband Ralph, Erica Woods, Eric Woods and Scottland Woods; 13 great grandchildren; special nephews Leonard Woods and Gary Woods; a special friend Joyce Forbes and a number of nieces, nephews and many cousins also survive.
A Memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the Craigsville Baptist Church by Pastor Derry Norman.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Burial will be private in the Little River Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
