Eugene 'Gene' Austin Curry's Obituary

Eugene Gene Curry, 68, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Curry was born August 13, 1946 in Staunton, a son of the late Branson U. and Ella (Huffer) Curry.
Gene was a member of Elk Run Church of the Brethren, retired from DuPont, served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded a Purple Heart.
Mr. Curry was preceded in death by his brother, James.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Shirley Riley Curry; three sons, Robert and Shea Curry, Terry and Wendy Curry, and Scotty and Wilda Curry; two sisters, Shirley Campbell and Bonnie Suceda; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Harold W. Pete Campbell.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Genes sons, Bobby, Terry and Scotty Curry and nephews, Dean Bird, Chuck Bird, Jimmy Callison and Rick Sprouse.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Genes memory to 3276 Morris Mill Road, Staunton, VA 24401 to assist the family with expenses.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
