Ettie 'Pearl' Peters's Obituary

Ettie Pearl (Taylor) Peters, 70, wife of Samuel W. Sam Peters, Sr. of 136 Augusta Street, took her journey home to meet Jesus on Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
Mrs. Peters was born July 2, 1944 in Bee, VA, a daughter of the late Tivis Colley and Leatha Arbutice (Ball) Taylor.
Pearl attended Joyful Sound Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, camping, shopping, watching hummingbirds and cooking. Pearl was a loving and proud wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed every minute spent with her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Sue Ellinger and a brother, Dewitt Taylor.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 18 years, is a son, Dale Taylor of Mt. Sidney; two daughters, Teresa G. Bowers and her husband Randy of Churchville and Tina G. Lotts of Mt. Sidney; a step-son, Samuel W. Peters, Jr. of Carbon Hill, AL; a brother, Chester Taylor of Lincolnton, GA; three sisters, Barbara Starks of Verona, Irene Howdyshell and Donna Campbell both of Churchville; six grandchildren, Meagan Cash and her husband Adam, Felicia Wagner and her husband Chris, Amanda Selby and her husband John, Tabitha Hancock, Justin Taylor and Cameron Bowers; a great-granddaughter, Norah Mae Cash; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2015 in the Calvary Assembly of God by Pastor Kevin Persinger.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be John Selby, Adam Cash, Randy Bowers, Wayne Campbell, Steve Rodriquez and Bruce Doyle.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Bowers and Justin Taylor.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Legacy Hospice, 17 Parkway Lane, Fishersville, VA 22939.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
