Ethel Allene Nuckoles's Obituary
Ethel Allene (Lessley) Nuckoles, 79 of 119 Guthrie Road, widow of Raymond Nuckoles, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 in the Augusta Health, Fishersville.
She was born January 13, 1932 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Jane (Glenn) Marshall.
Mrs. Nuckoles attended Greenville Baptist Church and was life long resident of Augusta County. She was employed with Virginia Metalcrafters in the janitorial department. She enjoyed quilting and gardening as hobbies.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Nuckoles was preceded in death by two sisters, Deidre Lessley and Dorothy Lawhorne.
Survivors include a son, John Nuckoles of Stuarts Draft; three daughters Libby Brooks of Stuarts Draft, Rose Barrett and Edith Redmond both of Covington; a granddaughter, Stormi Nuckoles; and six sisters, Louise Shunkwiler of Fishersville, Verna Rudine of Stuarts Draft, Josephine Mooneyham of Raphine, Nellie Quilen of Stuarts Draft, Margaret Callison of Waynesboro and Phyllis Kyger of Raphine; and a half-brother, Ernest M. Lessley, Jr.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Dennis Bradley.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
