Esther Ann (Phillips) Tacy, 69, of Orange Street, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Tacy was born on June 17, 1945 in Philippi, WVA, a daughter of the late Howard Bennett and Delcia Mary (Phillips) Phillips.
Esther was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class. She retired after thirty-two years of service from Kroger Food Store where she was employed as the Deli Clerk Manager. She enjoyed gospel concerts, traveling, and cooking.
Surviving are two sons, David M. Tacy and his wife Dana of Verona and
Chris L. Tacy and his wife Kate of Staunton; a brother, Howard Joseph Phillips and his wife Jean of Montrose, WVA; four grandchildren, Brent Tacy and his wife Jamie, Amber Tacy, Rachel Tacy and Joel Tacy; special friends, Sandy and Gary Huffer and her devoted pet dog, Brandi.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015, in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February
25, 2015 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Bobby Campbell.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Tommy Johnson, Gary Huffer, Jason Lantz, George Howdyshell, Butch Kelly, Carl Barton, Jesse Campbell and Kirt Patterson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Calvary Baptist Church Ladies Sunday School Class and friends and family attending the service.
