Elmer Lee Gill, Sr.'s Obituary
Elmer Lee Gill, Sr. 87, husband of Evelyn T. Gill, of Staunton, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Gill was born on June 8, 1930 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Ruby Gill.
Elmer was a proud veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Gill was preceded in death by two infant great-granddaughters, Caitlin Marie Cash and Bella Hope Cash.
Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-nine years, is a son, Lee Gill; a daughter, Nancy Taylor and husband Charlie; grandchildren, Tabitha Vess and husband Jason, Cheryl Cash, and Jonathan Cash and wife Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Justin Cash, Hannah Vess, Lydia Vess, Chloe Cash, Hadassah Cash and Justin Vess.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Eric Brown.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
