Ella Mae (Peters) Warren, 86, widow of Allen Graham Pete Warren, of 1158 New Hope Road, Staunton passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014, at her residence.

Mrs. Warren was born November 16, 1927, in Rockbridge County a daughter of the late Charles Harry and Emma Macell (Harper) Peters.

Ella retired as a presser from Genesco and was a member of Annex United Methodist Church. Mrs. Warren enjoyed walking at Augusta Health and Fitness Center with her friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and crafts.

In addition of her husband and her parents, Mrs. Warren was preceded in death by three grandsons, Todd Warren, Steve Spears and Carl Lee Warren; a special nephew, Michael Thompson; and two brothers, Charles Peters and James Paul Peters.

Mrs. Warren is survived by a son, Charles Graham Chip Warren of Staunton; two daughters, Lois W. Myers and her companion Zane Davenport of Staunton and Alice Fay Moran and her husband Melvin of Greenville; five sisters, Lucy Pederson and her husband David of Swoope, Gertrude Widner of Staunton, Nellie Lemasters of Burnsville N.C., Lillie Altizer of Fishersville, and Alice Meharg of Cerritos, CA; eight grandchildren, Shawnie, Kelly, John, Jason, Kady, Deidre, Jimmy and Rosie; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a number of nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law also survive.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014, in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.

A Celebration of life will be conducted 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, in the Annex United Methodist Church by Revs. Debra Colbert Copeland and Russell Heinrich.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park

Active pallbearers will be Jason Warren, John Myers, Troy Pusey, Chris Acord, Jeremy Breeden, and J.T. Myers.
