Elizabeth Ann (Simantel) Wagner, of Staunton, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Wagner was born on December 18, 1935, to the late Ernest and Mary Rosen Simantel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Conrad (Rachel) Simantel and William Simantel; and two sisters, Barbara (Wallace) Stinespring and Mary Belle (Bruce) Slusser.
She leaves behind her most cherished possessions, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons, Harry (Buddy) Wagner and wife Connie, Michael Wagner and wife Becky, Mark Wagner and Judy Hartman; two daughters, Karen Harlow and husband Mark and Nancy Rexrode and husband Chubby; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Conrad, Kimberly Robertson, Ginger Patterson, Chris Wagner, Jason Wagner, Megan Shomo, Caitlin Dickens, Nathan Rexrode and Kristen Rexrode; twenty great- grandchildren, Krisanne Vandevander, Jada Conrad, Brandon Vandevander, Sebastian Robertson, Xander Conrad, Christina Conrad, Natalie Patterson, Spencer Patterson, Conner Patterson, Cooper Patterson, Harper Patterson, Bryce Wagner, Zachary Wagner, Joshua Wagner, Wyatt Shomo, Weston Shomo, Mackenzie Shomo, Jacob Rexrode, Parker Rexrode and Camden Rexrode; a sister, Doris Fergusson and husband Ed of Chesterfield; a sister-in-law, Sherry Simantel of Staunton; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wagner was called Maw and Gramps to so many more.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the Jerusalem Chapel United Brethren Church by her grandson, Jason Wagner and Pastor Denny Sites.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of Augusta Health Hospice for the care given to Mrs. Wagner over the past weeks.
