Elizabeth Ann (Overcash) Reed, 55, wife of Thomas L. Reed of Staunton, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mrs. Reed was born on October 6, 1963 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Earl Franklin and Antha Mae (Strickler) Overcash.

Elizabeth was previously employed by McKee Foods. She enjoyed the outdoors and watching and feeding the neighborhood birds. Elizabeth loved working in her flower beds, collecting angels, and playing with the family cat, "Rocky". She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and friend.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by a sister, Mary K. Lambert; and two nephews, Harry Eugene and Luther Franklin Overcash.

Surviving in addition to her husband of twenty-seven years, is a son, Matthew T. Reed; a brother, Frankie Overcash and his wife, Teronda; an aunt, Nellie Stephenson; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by the Reverend Larry Strickler.

Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Clifford Reed, Chris Marks, Chris Lambert, Jeremy Hillworth, Meade Shuey, and Tyler Hillworth.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
