Elizabeth P. Dutko

STAUNTON:

Elizabeth Liz (Piechnik) Dutko, 76, widow of Alex Rip Dutko of Staunton and formerly of Marianne, PA, went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2013, with her loving family at her bedside at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Tom Jenkins.
Mrs. Dutko was born September 25, 1936 in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Ann (Sensky) Piechnik.
Liz was a member of Saints Mary and Ann Catholic Church, Marianna, PA and a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church, Ellsworth, PA. She was a retired housekeeper for Washington Hospital. She was full of life, she loved to cook, bake, crochet, and enjoyed the outdoors, camping with her family, and sitting on the deck with her daughter.
Mrs. Dutko was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Dutko was preceded in death by her three beloved sisters; Frances Christy, Andrea Chapman and Patricia Williams.
Survivors include her daughter Tina Jenkins and husband Tom; grandchildren; Danielle, Brandon, and Amber (Josh), all of Virginia; two great grandchildren; Mason Earlywine and Skyler Shiflett who were the light of her life; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in Ava Maria Parrish followed by a Graveside service at 11:00 a.m. in the Hornes Cemetery in Marianna, PA.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013 in the Greenlee Funeral Home in Beallsville, PA.
The family extends a special thank you to Augusta Health, Hospice of the Shenandoah, Dr. Stephanie Pitsilos, and Staunton Medical Associates for the care, kindness and love given to Mrs. Dutko during her illness.
