Elizabeth Ann (Boyne) Farrish, 62, wife of John DeWitt Farrish went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 4, 2018. Ann left this world at her home surrounded by her loving family, and best friend, Freda Liptrap.
Mrs. Farrish was born on February 1, 1956 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Lawrence Bee Buchanan and Phyllis Jean (Boyne) Sprouse.
Ann was a charter member of the Stuarts Draft Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, then since had become a member of Mountain Top Christian Church. Ann loved serving the Lord, she enjoyed taking care of her home, others, cooking and the beach. Mrs. Farrish was employed as an Assistant and Property Manager of Housing for the Edgewood Management Corporation for twenty three years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Farrish was preceded in death by a very special loving aunt, Mildred Buchanan.
Surviving in addition to her husband of thirty years, is a son, Dennis Michael Slusher, Jr. and his wife DeShanda; two grandsons, Dylan and Dustin Slusher; a step-son, John Lacy Farrish of Staunton; two brothers, Robert L. Boyne and his wife Barbara Melton of Staunton, and Calvin E. Sprouse and his wife Candy of Craigsville; a sister, Debbie Ann Boyne of Craigsville; best friend, Freda Liptrap; a number of nieces and nephews; and her pets, "Chance", "Felicity", "Diamond", and "Patches", whom she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the Mountain Top Christian Church by the Rev. Charles Perkins, Rev. Richard Peters, and Rev. Tom Underwood.
Burial will follow in the Mountain Top Christian Church Cemetery.

and loving friend, Freda who went through the entire journey by Ann's side and daughter-in-law, DeShanda for their wonderful dedication and assistance as caregivers. Also to the UVA Hope Cancer Center Nurses and Staff and Legacy Hospice Nurse, Patti Wright.
