Elfriede Freda Hildegard (Kramer) Truslow, 74, of 48 Autumn Lane, Waynesboro, lovingly passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Elfriede was born February 18, 1940 in Kitzgen, Germany, a daughter of the late George M. and Babetta (Wendel) Kramer.
Freda was a certified nurses assistant and enjoyed her job caring for the elderly. She enjoyed cooking Thursday night dinner and spending time with her family and friends. Her interests included crocheting, scratching lottery tickets, watching horse races, working in the yard, flower gardening and watching wrestling.
In addition to her parents, Elfriede was preceded in death by her older brother, Hans Kramer.
Surviving family members include a younger brother, Heinz Kramer of Germany; two sons, Daniel R. Truslow, Sr. of Waynesboro and Michael D. Truslow of Afton; a daughter, Heidi Brooks and husband, Charles, Jr. of Greenville; eleven grandchildren, Daniel Truslow, Jr. and wife Maria, Lorena Bolton, Heather Bowers and husband Micah, Morgan Winter, Damion Truslow, Charles Brooks, III and wife Kelley, Hildegard Botkin and husband Alex, Bambie Rathburn and husband Brad, Ben Brooks and wife Allison, Michael Truslow, Jr., and Joshua Truslow; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.
The family will receive friends for a Memorial Gathering from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
