Effie Lena Sweet's Obituary
Effie Lena (Hostetter) Sweet, 90, wife of Woodrow W. Sweet of 19 Plaza Drive and formerly of Craigsville passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 in Staunton.
Mrs. Sweet was born on July 13, 1925 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Andrew T. and Carrie (Clark) Hostetter.
Mrs. Sweet attended the Church of God and was previously employed as a seamstress by Tommies Pajama Factory. She enjoyed traveling to Cherokee, NC and picnics with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband of forty-one years are two sons, Johnnie E. Bryant and his wife Lois of Charlottesville and B. Wayne Bryant and his wife Judy of Staunton; a daughter, Patricia Ann Dobson of Verona; a brother, Henry Hostetter of Crimora; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2015 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of Patricia Dobson, 51 Jefferson Street, Verona.
A private graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Lewis E. Knight.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
