Edward Moler Ed Speese, 57, husband of Denise Michele (Taylor) Speese of 514 Robin Street passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014.
Mr. Speese was born in Delaware, OH on November 29, 1956, a son of George Edward Speese and the late Elizabeth Ann (Flemming) Speese.
Ed attended White Hill Church of the Brethren and was a car salesman for Wright Way Hyundai in Staunton. He enjoyed coaching his children and others in AYSO soccer and YMCA basketball; he enjoyed music, singing for weddings and other services. Ed shared his love of music with his children, teaching them to play the guitar and sing.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Speese was preceded in death by a brother, George Arthur Speese.
Surviving in addition to his father of Delaware, OH and his wife of twenty-one years are two daughters, Dakota T. Speese and Kylee E. Speese both of Staunton; a son, Edward Scott Brady Speese of Boston, MA; a step-daughter, Courtney R. Coffey of Glasgow; a brother, John Flemming Speese and wife Sarah of Delaware, OH; a sister, Susan Elizabeth Spalding and husband Alex of Gaithersburg, MD; his mother-in-law, Rachel B. Taylor of Staunton; a sister-in-law, Orinna Speese of Lakeland, FL; and a number of nieces, nephews and many special friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor David J. Chappell.
