Edward Joseph Peck, Jr., 79, of Waynesboro, died peacefully, after an unexpected illness, on Saturday, August 26, 2017 in the Shenandoah Nursing Rehabilitation and Assisted Living in Fishersville.
Mr. Peck was born on July 21, 1938 in Brighton, Massachusetts, son of the late Edward Joseph, Sr. and Margaret (OConnor) Peck.
Ed was a retired marine, member of the Marine Corps League, and a strong supporter of its Toys for Tots program. He was a CNC machine specialist and founder of Peck Machinery in Massachusetts.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda Mullee Peck, and his four children and their spouses, Patricia, Edward, Alice, Brian and six grandchildren, Alison, Michael (Harry), Edward (Teddy), Brendan, Julia and Jane.
A Roman Catholic Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. by Fr. Rolo Castillo at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where Ed was a long-time parishioner, usher, and volunteer. There will be a reception in the parish hall directly following the Mass, so that friends and parishioners may greet the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory to the Saint John the Evangelist Building Fund, 344 Maple Avenue, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
