Edward Henry Brumfield, 79, of Staunton, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Brumfield was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on January 12, 1943, the son of the late Oscar Henry Brumfield and Naomi (Wood) Brumfield.

Mr. Brumfield attended Altavista High School and graduated from Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock in 1961, and he went on to study accounting at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina.

He is survived by a daughter, Gina Leigh (Brumfield) Moore and her husband, John, of Weyers Cave; four grandchildren, Jordan (Moore) King and her husband, Ethan. John "Isaac" Moore, Joshua Moore, and Jada Moore; and a sister, Grace Ann (Brumfield) Miller, and her husband, Frank, of Richmond; a niece and a nephew.

A private service will be held in Green Hill Cemetery in Altavista by Reverend Jim Brown.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
