Edith Rue (Baugh) E.O. Mizer, 94, widow of Cecil Odabine Mizer formerly of Greenview Drive, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 in Augusta Health in Fishersville. Mrs. Mizer was born on March 22, 1921 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Benjamin Kenly Sr. and Elizabeth May (Shreve) Baugh. Edith was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She retired in 1986 from Western State Hospital in the finance department after 25 years of service and she was a member of the Western State Volunteer Services. E.O. enjoyed making quilts, collecting baby dolls and attending flea markets. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Mizer was preceded in death by a son, Clarence Wayne Mizer; a brother, Benjamin Kenly Baugh, Jr.; and a sister, Frances Mae Mizer. Edith was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are two sons, Gary L. Mizer and his wife Pam of Waynesboro and Joe K. Mizer and his wife Karen L. of Dale City; a daughter, Judy Davey of Baltimore; five grandchildren, Kelly Cash, Jason Mizer, Matt Mizer, Carrie Gill and Christy Robson; four great-grandchildren, Peyton Gill, Jordan Robson, Carson Cash and Rylee Cash and two special nieces, Phyllis Bowers and Patsy Lotts also survive. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A Celebration of life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2015 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Janet Knott. Burial will follow in Arbor Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family wishes to extent a heartfelt Thank You to Kim Martin and staff at Royal Care Senior Living for the care and compassion given to Mrs. Mizer. Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
