Edith Norene (Doyle) Strange, widow of Edwin Bruton Strange, III passed away Friday, September 19, 2014, at her residence. She was 100.

Mrs. Strange was born on March 13, 1914, in Estaline Valley, a daughter of the late Andrew and Lina Doyle.

Edith was a member of Craigsville Presbyterian Church, and was retired from the Stillwater Mills. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and the company of her family, friends and caregivers.

In addition to her parents and husband who passed away in 1981, Mrs. Strange was preceded in death by a son, Hinman Mason Mort Strange.

Mrs. Strange is survived by a son, Robin F. Strange of Richmond; three grandchildren, Dorothy J. Bundra, Edith S. Lucas, and Edwin M. Strange; nine great grandchildren, and caregivers Janet, Tabitha, Shelia and Britany.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September, 23, 2014, at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Claude Williams.

Active pallbearers will be Edwin M. Strange, Barry Spradlin, Ben Thompson, John Fridley, Steve Corbin, Jason Woods, and Chris Morrison.

Burial will follow in the Craigsville Community Cemetery.
