Douglas Wayne Wright, Sr., 58, husband of Pamela Marie Sue (Sykes) Wright of 267 Bells Lane passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Wright was born July 17, 1955 in Bishop, West Virginia, a son of the late Willie William and Hazel Lee (Mitchell) Wright.
Douglas attended the New Life Foursquare Gospel Church. He was employed as a farm manager with Bells Lane Farm; he enjoyed building furniture, making apple butter and was an avid deer hunter.
Surviving in addition to his wife of thirty-eight years, is a son, Douglas Wayne Wright, Jr. and wife Rhonda of Churchville; two daughters, Sherry S. Farley and husband Christopher of Marcy, NY and Jessica Sue Wright of Churchville; a brother, Ronnie Wright of Dublin; a sister, Juanita Wright of Tazewell; seven grandchildren, Wyatt Wright, Emma Wright, Brooke Wright, Isaiah Farley, Isaac Farley, Elijah Farley and Judah Farley and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by his son-in-law, Pastor Christopher Farley.
The family will receive friends following the service.
A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013 in the Grandview Cemetery, 38659 Governor G.C. Perry Highway in Bluefield, Virginia.
