Douglas Paul Eckard, 64, of Staunton passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at his daughter's residence in Stuarts Draft.

Mr. Eckard was born in Staunton, Virginia on June 11, 1956 a son of the late William Robert and Hazel Mary (Mills) Eckard.

Douglas was a truck driver for Gutshall Trucking and enjoyed bowling, fishing, racing, and loved his family.

Surviving is a daughter, Jennifer Moore (Lamarr); a brother, William "Rusty" Eckard (Barbara); two grandchildren, Isaiah and Makayla Moore; a nephew, Adam Eckard; and a special friend, Robert "Buddy" Truslow.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2020 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory. (Mask or face covering is required.)

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Oaklawn Memory Gardens in Staunton by Reverend William "Bill" Trice.
